What we do with your details.
No jargon, no twenty pages of it. This page explains exactly what happens to anything you send us through this website, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated 6 October 2026
The short version
- The only information we collect is what you type into the enquiry form.
- We use it to reply to you about your website. That is all.
- This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- We never sell your details, and we never add you to a mailing list.
- You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time, and we will.
Who is responsible for your information
BA Solutions is the data controller for this website. That means BA Solutions decides what happens to any information collected here, and BA Solutions is responsible for looking after it.
BA Solutions is a general partnership, not a limited company, so the partners are jointly the controller in law. Who they are, along with the rest of our trading details, is set out on our business details page.
You can reach us:
- By email at contact@basolutions.co.uk
- By phone on 07494 288718
BA Solutions is not large enough to need a Data Protection Officer, so any question about your information is dealt with directly by the business.
What we collect, and when
There is one place on this site where we collect anything about you: the enquiry form on the home page, the one headed "Your free preview starts here". If you do not fill that in, we end up with nothing about you at all.
When you do fill it in, we receive:
| What you give us | Do you have to? | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name | Yes | So we know who we are writing back to |
| Your business name | Yes | So we can look at what you currently have online before we reply |
| Your email address | Yes | It is how we send you the preview and reply to you |
| Your phone number | No | Only if you would rather we rang you |
| The package you are interested in | No | So the reply is about the right thing |
| Whatever you write in the message box | No | It tells us what the site needs to do for you |
Our hosting also keeps standard technical logs of requests to the site, including IP addresses, for a short period. These are generated automatically by the server and used only to keep the site online and secure. We do not go looking through them and we do not use them to build any picture of you.
Please do not send us anything sensitive through the form - no card or bank details, no passwords, no health or medical information. We do not need any of it, and the form is not the place for it.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Under UK data protection law we have to have a lawful basis for using your information. Ours are:
- Legitimate interests. You contacted a business asking it to quote for work. Replying to you, and keeping a record of that conversation, is what you would reasonably expect us to do with what you sent. We have weighed this up and cannot see how it could prejudice you, since the information is only ever used for the purpose you gave it to us for.
- Performance of a contract. If you go ahead and we build your site, we need your contact details to actually do the work and to invoice you for it.
- Legal obligation. Once you have paid us for something, HMRC requires us to keep the records behind that transaction.
We do not rely on consent for any of this, because we are not doing anything with your information beyond answering you. That also means there is no consent box for you to tick, and no marketing you need to opt out of.
Who else sees it
As few people and companies as we can manage. We never sell your information, we never rent it out, and we never hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
| Who | What they do with it | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts this website and receives the enquiry form submissions on our behalf, then passes them to us by email | United States |
| Our email provider | Delivers and stores the email containing your enquiry, and our replies to you | United States |
| HMRC, or an accountant | Only ever your invoice and payment record, and only if you become a paying client | United Kingdom |
Information leaving the UK
Netlify and our email provider are based in the United States, so your enquiry is stored on servers outside the UK. Transfers like this are allowed where there are approved safeguards in place. Both providers contract with us on terms that include the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, which is one of the mechanisms UK law recognises for this. If you would rather your details were not held outside the UK, ring us instead of using the form and we will take your enquiry over the phone.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heatmap tool, no session recording and no social media tracker. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, so even loading the page sends nothing about you to a third party.
That is why you are not being shown a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.
If that ever changes - if we add analytics, for instance - we will ask you first, and this page will be updated before we switch anything on.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not turn into work. Deleted within 12 months of our last contact with you.
- Client records. Kept for the duration of the work, then for 6 years afterwards, which is how long tax records have to be available.
- Server logs. Kept by our hosting for a short period and then overwritten automatically. We have no way of extending that.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will - unless it is part of a record we are legally required to keep, in which case we will tell you exactly what is being held and why.
How we look after it
Enquiries arrive over an encrypted connection. The accounts holding them are protected with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication. Only Adam has access. We do not keep copies of your details on unencrypted memory sticks, in shared folders, or anywhere a third party could stumble across them.
No system is perfect. If something ever did go wrong in a way that put you at risk, we would tell you, and we would report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours as the law requires.
What you can ask us to do
UK data protection law gives you a set of rights over your own information. All of them apply here, and none of them cost anything to use:
- See it. Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Correct it. Tell us anything we have is wrong or out of date and we will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask us to erase it, and we will unless we are legally required to keep it.
- Limit it. Ask us to hold it but stop using it while something is in dispute.
- Object to it. Tell us to stop relying on legitimate interests to hold your enquiry.
- Take it with you. Ask for it in a format you can hand to someone else.
Email contact@basolutions.co.uk and say what you want done. We will reply within one month, usually much sooner. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we are not handing your information to somebody else.
We do not use your information to make any automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.
If you are not happy with us
Tell us first if you can - it is usually the quickest way to get something put right. But you have every right to go straight to the regulator instead, and complaining to them does not stop you taking it up with us as well.

Children
This site offers website design to businesses. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this page
If how we handle your information changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is a significant one and we already hold your details, we will email you about it rather than quietly editing the page.
